Winter Carnival In Vue returns to Bellevue’s Fairfield Avenue 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, bringing with it even more family-friendly carnival fun and games than last year’s successful event.
Strolling Shrine Circus clowns, Presto Paul the magician, a balloon twister, face painters and the roving Pickled Brothers, who will perform feats of fire-eating and sword swallowing, will entertain visitors to Winter Carnival In Vue.
Four giant artist-created photo boards, featuring Anna and Elsa, Ariel and Flounder, Mickey Mouse, and Star Wars’ Kylo Ren characters, will be set up in Fairfield Avenue shops. Kids can get their pictures taken with each board – and enter a drawing at each of the four locations to win one of two photo boards: Anna and Elsa and Star Wars’ Kylo Ren.
Sponsored by Citizens Bank of Northern Kentucky and Cleves and Lonnemann Jewelers, Winter Carnival In Vue will take place indoors and out.

Some of the entertainers will stroll the 200 to the 700 block of Fairfield Avenue, juggling, balloon twisting, fire-eating and sword swallowing. As he did at the 2015 Winter Carnival, Presto Paul – one of the Cincinnati area’s most popular magicians – will pop into Fairfield Avenue restaurants to perform tableside magic. Other entertainers will be stationed inside shops.
The drawing to win the Anna and Elsa and Kylo Ren character photo boards will take place at the close of the carnival. Visitors can also enter a drawing at all participating shops to win a set of four tickets to the Syrian Shrine Circus (Feb.26-28 at BB&T Arena on NKU’s campus). Four sets of circus tickets will be given away immediately following the carnival.
Bellevue merchants will be accepting donations on behalf of the Shriners. The Shriners of North America support Shriners Hospitals for Children, a world-class network of 22 pediatric specialty hospitals located throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Since 1922, Shriners Hospitals for Children have significantly improved the lives of more than 800,000 children.
In addition to all the entertainers and photo boards, many Fairfield Avenue shops will be decorated for the carnival and have Midway-style games and other fun and activities, including a taffy pull, Swedish fish pond, Pie Face and Ping Pong Toss.
