The Fort Thomas Forest Conservancy will present its free, family-friendly 2026 Earth Day Event inspiring environmental stewardship in the community on Sunday April 26 from noon-4 p.m. at Tower Park in Fort Thomas.
This year’s theme, Our Power, Our Planet, highlights the importance of renewable energy and sustainable, environmentally friendly practices.
The largest Earth Day event in Northern Kentucky, the FTFC Earth Day event brings together residents, local organizations, businesses, and volunteers to learn, celebrate, and take action for a healthier planet. The event showcases the spirit of Earth Day — a global movement observed by over one billion people each year — with interactive, educational, and engaging activities.
Event highlights include:
• Live music and performances – Performances from popular local musicians Caileen Tallant and Brendan Kehoe.
• Exhibits and vendors
• Interactive booths hosted by environmental nonprofits, sustainability experts, and eco-friendly businesses.
• The UK Campbell County Cooperative Extension will provide free Oak tree saplings.
• The City of Fort Thomas will also provide free tree saplings.
• Chris Rust, who specializes in chainsaw carvings, will be carving one of his nature-based creations during the event.
• Home Grown on Haubner Hill will provide demonstrations on exploring dried flowers
• Participant activities — Len Beck will offer a Wildflower Walk in the Tower Park woods from 11am-12pm. Other exhibitors will have opportunities for hands-on engagement.
• Kids’ activities — Creative arts, games, and hands-on environmental projects.
• Eco-market and food vendors — Sustainable products and seasonal, locally sourced food offerings. Food and drink trucks for enjoyment throughout the event.
