Becker’s Hospital Review has listed 22 health systems with strong operational metrics and solid financial positions, according to reports from credit rating agencies, Fitch Ratings and Moody’s Investors Service released in 2026.
Included in the list is St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood which has an “AA” rating and stable outlook with Fitch.
The St. Elizabeth system holds a commanding 83% share of inpatient volume in its primary service area, Fitch reports.
St. Elizabeth is the only hospital in Kentucky included in the 22 listed.
Cleveland Clinic in Ohio is also listed.
