NKY Works offering virtual learning courses to help small, mid-size employers with hiring process

Competing for talent in today’s market can be challenging. Hiring people with the right skills saves businesses time and money and many companies are implementing skills-based hiring strategies to improve their results.

NKY Works in partnership with the NKY Chamber of Commerce and Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Foundation is offering a virtual learning opportunity to help small and mid-size employers align their hiring process to attract candidates with the necessary skills for open roles.

Over two, 90-minute sessions, participants will learn how to:

• Identify and define the skills needed for specific roles
• Write job descriptions that reflect real competencies
• Design a skills-based interview process
• Select candidates based on demonstrated ability
• Onboard and develop new hires using skills-based practices

The price is $99 for two 90-minute sessions (3 hours total). NKY Works is offering a limited number of scholarships to businesses. Email NKYWorks@NKADD.org to request funding. This program is open to organizations with 500 or fewer full-time employees. HR staff, hiring managers, and/or senior executives are encouraged to participate.
