How about a little cuteness to help you celebrate Kentucky Derby day — and don’t you love the hat?

Staff report

Sharing a bit of cuteness to brighten your Kentucky Derby day.

But also reminding you of the terrific work going on in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) every day at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Baby Scottie joins you in being all decked out for the Derby. She was born February 12 at just over 26 1/2 weeks and this little sweetheart is showing her Derby spirit while continuing her journey (a bit slower than the horses in the big race) at St. Elizabeth, but just as determined. (The race is for two-year-olds anyway.)

Here, Scottie is sporting a custom onesie and her special pink Derby hat while perusing “Born and Bred in the Bluegrass State.”

Her mom, Ryann, says, “We are so thankful for all the love and care the NICU team has given Scottie. It means so much to know she is so loved and cared for during her time here.”

That is certainly a winning ticket if ever there was one.
