NKY Chamber’s June 23 Eggs ‘N Issues to provide update on income-aligned housing in Northern KY


Join the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) for Eggs ‘N Issues: From Blueprint to Progress – An Update on Income-Aligned Housing in NKY, taking place on Tuesday, June 23, from 7:30-9 a.m. at Receptions Banquet and Conference Center-South in Erlanger.

Tara Johnson-Noem, executive director at the Northern Kentucky Area Development District, will moderate a discussion about where progress stands regarding income-aligned housing in the Northern Kentucky region. Attendees will hear from speakers about what’s working, where gaps remain, and what it will take to move from blueprint to real impact.

Scheduled speakers are:

• Travis Gysegem, director of research and underwriting for The Catalytic Fund, supports the fund’s real estate investments through spatial and data analysis, as well as research on market, demographic, and policy trends. He also originates, underwrites, and manages its investments. He has a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the University of Cincinnati, and holds an MBA and graduate certificate in real estate from the Lindner College of Business.

• Brian Miller, executive vice president for the Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky, joined the organization in 2009, and previously spent more than a decade working as the vice president of communications for the Home Builders Association of Louisville. He’s a subject matter expert in issues regarding housing, housing economics, workforce development, and more. He serves on numerous boards, has participated in several working groups tasked with land use planning, economic development, infrastructure planning and environmental policy for Northern Kentucky and is an Eastern Kentucky University alum.

• Wonda Winkler, president and CEO of Brighton Center, has more than 30 years of nonprofit leadership experience. At Brighton Center, she helps oversee workforce development programs, family and work support programs, financial and homeownership services, substance abuse recovery, and more. She’s also the president and CEO of Brighton Properties, Inc., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brighton Center and offers quality housing that’s affordable for low and moderate-income families. She has a bachelor’s degree from Thomas More University and obtained her MBA from Northern Kentucky University.

Eggs ‘N Issues: From Blueprint to Progress – An Update on Income-Aligned Housing in NKY will begin on June 23 with attendee check-in, breakfast and networking from 7:30 to 7:55 a.m. The keynote presentation and audience Q&A session will follow until 9 a.m. Registration is $35 for NKY Chamber members and $45 for non-members and walk-ins.
