This June, Hoxworth Blood Center at the University of Cincinnati is kicking off summer blood donation efforts with a limited-edition USA-themed donor jersey, the return of the popular Cincinnati Favorites blood drives, and several community blood drives across Northern Kentucky.
Donors who give blood in June at any neighborhood donor center and select mobile drives will receive a special USA-themed jersey while supplies last. Inspired by the excitement surrounding the World Cup and the upcoming celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the jersey recognizes the lifesaving team of local blood donors who support local patients across the Tri-State.

“Summer is one of the most challenging times of the year for the blood supply,” said Dr. David Oh, Director of Hoxworth Blood Center. “Vacations, school breaks, and busy schedules often lead to fewer donations, but the need for blood never slows down. Every donor who gives blood at Hoxworth this summer is saving lives close to home.”
The June thank you gift reminds donors that when the community shows up to donate blood, everyone becomes part of Team Hoxworth. Every donation helps ensure local hospitals have the blood products patients need most during the busy summer months.
The Cincinnati Favorites blood drives return this summer, celebrating beloved local businesses and community traditions while encouraging lifesaving blood donations throughout the region.
These blood drives give blood donors the opportunity to support local patients while connecting with some of the community’s favorite hometown destinations. More information about participating Cincinnati Favorites blood drives can be found at Cincinnati Favorites Blood Drives.
Cincinnati Favorites Blood Drive partners include Skyline Chili, Graeter’s Ice Cream, Busken Bakery, LaRosa’s, The BonBonerie, Aglamesis Bros. and Montgomery Inn.
All donors will receive a collectible Cincinnati Favorites tote, the monthly Hoxworth donor gift, plus a special treat from your blood drive sponsor.
