Young professionals looking to give back to their local communities on a strategic level are invited to attend Bourbon & Boards, hosted by Northern Kentucky Young Professionals on Thursday, August 13, from 5-7 p.m. at Wenzel Distillery, located at 412 Madison Ave., Covington.
The event is a way to connect nonprofit executives with the region’s future leaders to recruit for board opportunities. The 8th Annual Bourbon & Boards will provide young professionals with the opportunity to learn about available leadership positions, expectations, how to get involved, and how board-level engagement can support personal and professional growth.
“Community contribution is an integral part of what we encourage through NKYP, and board opportunities provide a meaningful way to form connections and make an impact,” said Kyle Frizzell, NKY Chamber Director of Events and NKYP. “We are consistently hearing from young professionals who want to get involved, but don’t know where to start. Bourbon & Boards is the perfect event to get connected with local nonprofits, learn about what they do, and find out how they can make an impact at the board level.”

The NKYP rate to attend Bourbon & Boards is $30 and is free with the NKYP Event Pass. The NKY Chamber member rate is $35. The rate for non-members and walk-ins is $45. Registration is required and available online at NKYChamber.com/Events.
