Bluegrass Hospitality Group announces plans for new Malone’s Prime Beef Steakhouse in Crestview Hills

Staff report

Bluegrass Hospitality Group has announced a major growth initiative across Kentucky which will include the expansion of its Malone’s brand in Northern Kentucky’s Crestview Hills Town Center.

BHG announced the NKY location is part of a larger expansion across the Commonwealth that will include a total of three new locations. The company also announced plans for a standalone Harry’s American Bar & Grill in Richmond and the relocation of its OBC Kitchen in Lexington.

The Crestview Hills project — a Malone’s Prime Beef Steakhouse — will be BHG’s first Northern Kentucky location.

Since opening in Lexington in 1998, Malone’s has built a loyal following, known for its steaks, fresh seafood, sushi, and hospitality. The company said the Crestview Hills location will offer the full Malone’s experience in a setting designed exclusively for the brand, featuring elevated energy, expansive beverage offerings, seasonal chef features, and diverse lunch and dinner menus.

“These projects are exciting because each one represents growth in a meaningful way for our brands,” said Brian McCarty, co-founder of BHG. “We’ve always believed in expanding with intention — finding the right communities, the right partners, and the right opportunities to create something special for our guests and team members.”

BHG co-founder Bruce Drake said the three project are part of BHG’s strategic approach to expansion — focusing on long-term relationships, community impact, and operational excellence rather than rapid growth.

“Growing the right way has always mattered to us,” said Drake. “When we expand, it’s because we see a long-term opportunity to build relationships, create careers, and deliver the level of hospitality our guests expect.”

Official opening dates and additional details for each project will be announced as construction progresses.
