The Erlanger-Elsmere Independent School District has announced Anna Muennich as the new principal of Lloyd Memorial High School, filling the position vacated by Dr. Mike Key who was named assistant superintendent. Muennich has served as Lloyd’s assistant principal for the past three years.
In addition to her administrative experience, Muennich served fourteen years as a high school English teacher, first at Dayton High School, before moving to Lloyd.
Since assuming her leadership role, Muennich has worked to strengthen systems that support both students and staff, while leading initiatives focused on student achievement and school improvement. She has worked closely with teachers to analyze student data and identify targeted interventions, while also leading the development of the 2025-2026 master schedule and collaborating with the special education department to support student scheduling needs.
Muennich led efforts to implement Marzano proficiency scales, a system used to map learning progresssion based on certain topics and standards. She has also facilitated SAT preparation efforts for juniors and collaborated with colleagues to form Senior Academy initiatives, including assisting with a Reverse Career Fair, supporting individualized senior schedules, and expanding post-secondary readiness opportunities.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Muennich earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature before completing the Master of Arts in Teaching and Educational Leadership programs at Northern Kentucky University. In December 2024, Muennich graduated from NKU’s Educational Leadership program.
Muennich lives in Cincinnati with her husband and son.
