The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office on Thursday announced the indictment of Campbell County Property Valuation Administrator Daniel Braun on charges related to attempts to solicit a minor.

A Campbell County Grand Jury indicted Braun, 52, on two counts of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, a class C felony.
According to the indictment, Braun contacted a minor he believed to be under the age of 18 on at least two occasions in March 2026. A detective with the attorney general’s office posed as a minor in the conversations that led to Braun’s arrest.
The Attorney General’s Department of Criminal Investigations investigated the case. Assistant Attorney General Ramsey Dallam presented the case before the Campbell County Grand Jury on behalf of the Commonwealth.
The Kentucky Supreme Court’s rule on trial publicity limits information the Office can provide publicly.
The charges in an indictment are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
