Staff report
Gov. Andy Beshear declared that 2025 was the best year ever for Kentucky tourism, with $14.6 billion generated in economic impact supporting 96,993 jobs — and marking the fourth straight record for the industry.

The news is just as good for Northern Kentucky’s tourism, and the individual data provided in the full report from the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet puts that good news into numbers that add up to terrific impact on the region.
“Kentucky’s fourth consecutive record-breaking year for tourism isn’t just a win for the Commonwealth but a direct reflection of the immense momentum we are building right here in Northern Kentucky,” said Julie Kirkpatrick, President & CEO of MeetNKY and Interim President & CEO of Visit Cincy.
“As a critical gateway to the South and the official welcome mat for the Commonwealth, we give visitors the unique opportunity to experience two world-class destinations in one with Cincinnati right across the river.
“NKY continues to capture a massive share of this $14.6 billion economic impact by leaning into our vibrant culinary scene, incredible art and attractions, and unmatched bourbon and beer culture.”
The numbers speak for themselves.
