City of Florence adjusts schedule for Independence Day concert and fireworks due to extreme temperatures

Due to high temperatures forecast for Friday, July 3, the City of Florence has adjusted the schedule for its annual Independence Day Concert and Fireworks Celebration at Thomas More Stadium, located at 7950 Freedom Way, to help provide a safer experience for attendees, volunteers, performers, and staff.

As a result of the schedule changes, the Florence Community Band will not perform this year.
Stadium gates will now open at 6 p.m. Admission remains free.

The updated event schedule is as follows:

• 6 p.m. – Gates Open

• 6 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Kids Zone

• 6:45 p.m. – Juggler Performance by the Cincinnati Circus

• 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. – Live performance by The Rusty Griswolds

• 10:00 p.m. – Fireworks spectacular by Rozzi Fireworks

This year’s live entertainment will take place on the field and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the performance.

Guests are reminded that no outside food or beverages are permitted inside Thomas More Stadium. Clear bags are required for entry, however, small clutch bags or wallets measuring no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches are permitted. Concessions will be available throughout the evening.

Fireworks will be launched from Thomas More Stadium and the event will conclude immediately following the display.

In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks only will be rescheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 10:00 p.m. at Thomas More Stadium.

The City of Florence extends its appreciation to the event sponsors for making this community celebration possible. Heritage Bank serves as the Title Sponsor, Guardian Savings Bank is the Performance Sponsor, and Viox & Viox is the Supporting Sponsor.

The city looks forward to celebrating America’s 250th Birthday with an evening of live entertainment, family fun, and one of the region’s premier fireworks displays.
