Horizon Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky is now accepting nominations for its 2026 Nonprofit Awards, recognizing the outstanding individuals and organizations making a lasting difference across Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties.
The awards will be presented during the Horizon Nonprofit Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, September 29, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the St. Elizabeth Training and Education Center in Erlanger.
The luncheon will bring together nonprofit leaders, community partners, fundholders, donors, and business leaders to celebrate the people who make Northern Kentucky stronger. The event recognizes the remarkable individuals and organizations whose dedication, innovation, and service strengthen Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties.
“Our nonprofit community is filled with extraordinary people who lead with purpose, compassion, and a deep commitment to serving others,” said Nancy Grayson, President & CEO of Horizon Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky. “These awards give us the opportunity to recognize the individuals whose leadership and service inspire others and create meaningful change throughout our communities.”
New this year, Horizon is introducing the NextGen Leader Award, honoring an exceptional nonprofit professional under the age of 40 who is emerging as a rising leader in Northern Kentucky’s nonprofit sector through innovation, leadership, and community impact.
Nominations are being accepted through July 31 in the following categories:
• Executive of the Year – Large Organization
• Executive of the Year – Small Organization
• MVP – Nonprofit Staff Member
• MVP – Nonprofit Board Member
• Volunteer of the Year
• NextGen Leader (Nonprofit professional under age 40)
Community members are encouraged to nominate nonprofit professionals, volunteers, and organizations whose work exemplifies excellence, collaboration, and service.
