The first victim was robbed by physical force in front of 802 Scott.  Approximately 14 minutes later, a second victim was getting out of her car when she was robbed of her purse.

As police were investigating the first two robberies, a third victim was forcibly robbed of her purse while the suspect was armed with a knife in the City Center Garage at 7th and Scott at approximately 13:43 hrs.  As the suspect fled the third robbery, the victim chased him while yelling for help.  Nearby construction workers noticed the commotion and were able to subdue the suspect until officers arrived to take him into custody.

Covington Police Detectives were able to charge the suspect with all three robberies through their investigation.   Arrested was Corey Miller, 29 years old, of Covington.  Mr. Miller also had a warrant out of Hamilton County for robbery.  The subject remains in custody and the Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney is direct indicting this individual for the string of robberies.

We would like to thank the construction workers for their act of bravery and responding to a fellow citizen’s cry for help.
