NKU has announced to faculty and staff that Katherine Frank, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences since 2014, will be leaving to accept a position as provost and vice president for Academic and Student Affairs at Central Washington University.

Frank was appointed Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in 2014. Before joining Northern Kentucky University, she served as Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences at Indiana University East from 2011 through 2014 and chair of English and Foreign Languages at Colorado State University-Pueblo from 2008 through 2011.
Dr. Frank’s research interests include Romantic and Victorian literature, rhetoric and composition, and leadership studies.
The university expects to appoint an interim dean from internal candidates while a process is put in place for a national search during the coming academic year.
