Northern Kentucky Diabetes Coalition to host three free exercise sessions this summer

Meet new people, move your body, laugh a little (or a lot) and try something new at three classes this June.

The Northern Kentucky Diabetes Coalition is hosting three free exercise sessions this summer to allow people to sample different activities, with the hope that people will find an activity that they enjoy.

The Taste of Activity for the Whole Body sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Boone County Cooperative Extension Enrichment Center, 1955 Burlington Pike, in Burlington.

  • Thursday, June 9: Fluid Body Movements: Improve your Posture and Balance
  • Thursday, June 16: Seated Full Body Workout: Strength, Cardio, and Flexibility
  • Thursday, June 23: Belly Dancing and Dancing with Veils

A free FitBit, donated by Meijer, will be given away at the end of each class.

The mission of the Northern Kentucky Diabetes Coalition is to bring together key stakeholders to improve access to diabetes information, education and treatment options in the Northern Kentucky region.

No experience is necessary to attend the exercise sessions, but registration is required to guarantee a space.
