The Covington Ladies Home’s “130 Years and Counting” Capital Campaign Kick-Off Breakfast takes place on August 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the Metropolitan Club on Covington’s Riverfront.
The event is by reservation only, and includes leaders and caring individuals from government, the community, Ladies Home supporters, friends, neighbors, and more.
Located in the Licking Riverside Historic District, the home is currently in beautiful Victorian landmark was built with excellence in 1894 and has been modified through the years.
Covington Ladies Home hopes to move forward with a new building plan that will provide improved care to the elderly in this 21st century.
When older women can no longer safely live alone, Covington Ladies Home has for 130 continuous years provided for the needs of older women in the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati community and beyond.
During 2016, the home is celebrating this milestone of longevity and service.
The Honorable Patricia Summe, Chief Judge of the Kenton County Circuit Court, is the Keynote speaker at the Breakfast. Judge Summe’s career on the bench has brought her a number of awards, including the Kentucky Bar Association’s 2009 Outstanding Judge Award, the 2006 Salmon P. Chase Alumni Association Exceptional Service Award, the 2003 Martin Luther King Award from the Kenton County Chapter of the NAACP, and a 1998 Kentucky Post Woman of the Year.
