Hundreds are expected to gather at Griffin Plaza, in the bleachers of BB&T Field, this Sunday as the Most Rev. Roger J. Foys, D.D. leads the Thomas More College Community in the praying of the Rosary.
Thomas More College became the first college/university to hold a Rosary Rally last year, and now makes it an annual tradition.
The Rosary Rally is open to the public and people of all faiths are welcome to attend. “We are a Catholic Institution, but we open our campus to anyone who wants to pray with us for the successful and safe start of the school year, as well as for an injury-free athletic season,” said Thomas More College President David A. Armstrong.
The Rosary Rally is organized by the TMC Athletic Department and Campus Ministry and is an outward demonstration of Thomas More College’s mission to challenge students of all faiths to examine the ultimate meaning of life, their place in the world and their responsibility to others.
Thomas More College is a values-based liberal arts institution that is one of 10 Catholic Diocesan colleges in the nation. Located in Crestview Hills, it was originally founded in 1921 by the Benedictine Sisters as Villa Madonna College.
