Ryle offense puts up big numbers once again in 42-7 win over Boone County

The Ryle football team came into Thursday’s game at Boone County averaging more than 470 per game and the offense put up big numbers once again in a 42-7 victory.

St-E-Football-plug-768x249Senior quarterback Tanner Morgan completed 19 of 31 passes for 256 yards and the Raiders rushed for 163 yards to finish with a 419 total. The Ryle defense did its part by limiting Boone County to 101 total yards and recovering two fumbles.

Boone County scored its only touchdown in the second quarter and trailed 14-7 with 6:04 remaining in the half. But Ryle scored 28 unanswered points after that to win its third straight game.

Jacob Chisholm was the Raiders’ leading rusher with 96 yards and one touchdown. Cole Burch picked up 55 yards and scored two TDs. The leading receiver was Bryce Ashley with six catches for 88 yards and one touchdown.
