Kenton County Sheriff’s office warns of scam calls about payments for ‘warrants’ — report immediately

The Kenton County Sheriff’s Office has been contacted again about a scam regarding calls by persons identifying themselves as being with the sheriff’s office

The caller says there is a Federal Bench Warrant for the person’s arrest and promises to make arrangements for the warrant for a specified amount of money paid on a credit card or money order

Sheriff Chuck Korzenborn emphasizes that the sheriff’s office does not call individuals who may have an active warrant.
