Boone County voters, like the state, went for Donald Trump for president, giving him 67% of the vote to Hillary Clinton’s 26%.
For U.S. Representative, voters chose incumbent Thomas Massie over Democrat challenger Calvin Sidle by 76% to 23%. And in the U.S. Senate race, Rand Paul prevailed over challenger, Lexington Mayor Jim Gray by 73% to 26%.
Incumbents State Sen. John Schickel, State Reps. Sal Santoro, Diane St. Onge, Addia Wuchner, and Adam Koenig had no opposition.
In a contest race for 61st District Representative, Republican Brian Linder won over Democrat Kevin Napier, 78% to 21%.
Voter turnout in Boone County was nearly 60%.
