Blanche Gaynor receives 2017 Women’s Initiative Spirit of Achievement Award

For Blanche Gaynor, becoming involved in the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Initiative was a natural fit for her and her company, Writing Enhancement Services.

“My company’s mission is to “Protect, Project and Illuminate the professional expertise of all those with whom I work or collaborate with in some capacity,”” says Gaynor. “The Women’s Initiative is to “Connect…Grow…Achieve” – a perfect complement.”

The Women’s Initiative found Gaynor to be a natural fit too. Last month, at its 2017 Women’s Initiative Annual Breakfast, Gaynor was named the recipient of the 4th Annual Spirit of Achievement Award. More than 600 people attended the annual breakfast at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, which featured keynote speaker Laura Stack, President and CEO of The Productivity Pro®.

Adrienne Stroupe, a strategist with BB&T which was the Spirit of Achievement Award Sponsor; Blanche Gaynor, president of Writing Enhancements, LLC, and Spirit of Achievement Award recipient; and Wonda Winkler, Chair of Women’s Initiative and Executive Vice President of Brighton Center, Inc.

The award, sponsored by BB&T, honors women involved in the NKY Chamber’s Women’s Initiative program who have demonstrated professional leadership and community involvement.

Gaynor’s involvement with the program began with its launch in 2008, at which time she has engaged in a broad scope of initiatives, ranging from the creation of the program and its steering committee, to serving as chair of the program’s Roundtable committee.

“I enjoy being involved in the Women’s Initiative because it continuously strives to identify new ways to promote the development of Northern Kentucky’s businesswomen and make it easier for professionals to expand their horizons,” says Gaynor.

Prior to launching Writing Enhancement Services, LLC, which develops and coordinates a broad scope of written initiatives, Gaynor spent 35 years in business administration. She held management positions Community Mutual Insurance Company (now Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield); Utilitech, a consulting engineering firm specializing in industrial heating, ventilation and air conditioning; and Skystone Partners, a fundraising consulting firm. She is a graduate of Thomas More College and a resident of Lakeside Park.

Gaynor credits the Women’s Initiative with providing a talented network of supportive community professionals.

“A huge fringe benefit has been the introduction to talented and vivacious individuals who naturally support others and work to help each other succeed. I am honored to be affiliated with such an organization.”
