The Boone County Sheriff’s office has released the following update regarding the apprehension in the shooting death of Tyler Ryan in Walton Saturday night. The original release is also included:
On Saturday, February 11, 2017 shortly after 7:00 p.m. Boone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 100 block of Deer Trace Drive in Walton, Kentucky for a shooting which left one man dead.

Tyler Ryan, 25 of Covington, Kentucky was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in the front yard of 165 Deer Trace Drive in what investigators suspect was a drug deal gone wrong.
As of this writing, investigators are combing through evidence to determine exactly what happened and what actors were involved. We’ll update as more information becomes available.
Updated information – Monday, February 13, 2017:
On Sunday, February 12, 2017 Detective Jeff Miles obtained arrest warrants for the two men involved in the shooting death of Tyler Ryan. They are Michael York, 26 and Gregory Siffel, 29. Each is *charged with Murder.
On Monday, February 13, 2017 Sheriff Michael A. Helmig solicited the assistance of the United State Marshall Service Task Force who located the pair late this afternoon in Cincinnati, Ohio. Both were taken into custody without incident. Both will be lodged in the Hamilton County, Ohio Detention Center where they will await extradition to Kentucky.
