After high school, Johnson attended Morehead State University on a soccer scholarship, winning the Ohio Valley Conference Championship her senior year, earning MSU a spot in the 2008 NCAA Tournament.

Johnson graduated from Morehead State in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and worked as an online marketing manager at F+W Media, for 4 years before going back to school to receive her Master of Art in Teaching degree from Thomas More College.

She is currently in her third year as a Business and Social Studies teacher at Notre Dame Academy.

“Hiring Coach Johnson will make for a smooth transition for our girls soccer program,” Jimmy Ryan, NCC Athletic Director said. “Hillary’s proven success on and off the field and her experience as a coach speaks for itself.”

Coach Johnson has been a member of the Notre Dame Academy soccer coaching staff for the past eight seasons, helping to lead NDA to six Regional titles and two Kentucky State Championship titles.

“I am extremely excited to be taking over the soccer program at NCC,” Johnson said. “Kevin Turnick has done a tremendous job with the program in the past 19 years and has had great success. I look forward to continuing the athletic excellence that NCC has established, especially in the soccer program. I think we’ll have an exciting year and I’m looking forward to reaching new heights with NCC.”
