The City of Fort Wright is accepting letters of interest from residents who wish to serve as a member of Council.
If you have been a resident for Fort Wright for more than one year, are qualified to vote to in Kentucky, are over the age of 18, intend to remain as a resident of the city through 2018 and have a desire to serve the community please consider submitting a letter of interest for this opportunity.
The vacancy has been created because long-time resident and councilperson Joe Avedick is moving out of the city and will no longer be eligible to serve. His unexpired term ends on December 31, 2018.
You can submit your letter of interest to the attention of City Administrator, Ed Butler, in any of the following manners:

In person at the City Building between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Letters of interest must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19th to be considered for this opportunity.
If mailed, they must be postmarked no later than May 19th. Once all letters are received they will be reviewed and all candidates who meet the minimum requirements established by law will be interviewed by members of City Council.
It is anticipated that these interviews will be conducted in the evening hours on Monday June 5th and/or Tuesday June 6th.
All eligible candidates will be notified the week of May 22nd at which time an interview time will be scheduled.
