Obituary For Aileen Argo

Aileen Argo, aged 75, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away on May 16, 2026. Born on February 19, 1951, in Barbourville, Kentucky, Aileen carried the warmth and hospitality of her roots with her throughout her life.

She was a woman of steady strength who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life and the deep bonds of her family.

Aileen’s greatest legacy is the love she poured into those she held dear. Though she faced the profound heartbreak of being preceded in death by her beloved children, Michael and Tracy Argo, as well as her parents, she remained a cornerstone of support for her surviving family.

She is survived by her cherished granddaughter, Michaela West, and her husband Daniel, and she found immense delight in her role as a great-grandmother to little Olivia. Aileen also leaves behind her two sisters, Debbie Ziegelmeyer and Audrey Smith, along with many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her presence in their lives.

Aileen could often be found immersed in a gripping crime novel or closely following the details of televised court trials. If there was music playing, Aileen was the first one up and dancing. She enjoyed the thrill of a shopping trip, but her favorite way to spend time was always in the company of her family. Whether sharing a story or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon together, Aileen’s devotion to her loved ones was unwavering.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service to honor Aileen’s life on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Mother of God Cemetery in Latonia, Kentucky.
