Obituary For Albert Edward Bricking, Jr.

O Sweetest Heart of Jesus, I implore that I may ever love Thee more and more.

Albert "Al" E. Bricking Jr., 97, of Bellevue, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 30,

2025, in his home, holding his rosary, surrounded by his family.

Al was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Parish & lifelong resident of Bellevue, KY. He

was a proud member of VFW Post 2899, Kersten O'Day in Dayton, KY. Al was also a

member of the Bellevue Vets & the Bellevue Eagles and belonged to the St. Vincent de

Paul Society. In his retirement, he worked at the family business, Riverside 4 Marina,

served on Bellevue Planning and Zoning, and volunteered at the Hosea House. Al was

an Engineer Assistant with C. G. & E. and a proud U.S. Army Veteran, having served in

World War II.

Al was born March 5, 1928, in Dayton, KY to Albert E. Bricking, Sr. and Jeanette (nee:

Baumgartner) Bricking. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley Mae

(nee: Mullaney) Bricking, whom he was married to for 73 years, siblings Raymond

Bricking, Jeanette Wells, John "Jack" Bricking, Mary Kenney & Rita Gormiller.

Al is survived by his children, David (Debbie) Bricking, Steve (the late Becky) Bricking,

Marianne Verkamp, Marijoan "Joanie" (Rick) Schoulthies, Mark (Elizabeth) Bricking,

Gerard "Jerry" (Joy) Bricking, Albert Bricking, 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren

& 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday, January 5, 2026 at Divine Mercy

Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 318 Division Street, Bellevue, KY. Mass of Christian

Burial will immediately follow at 12:00 pm, with Rev. Msgr. William F. Cleves, officiating.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Charity Hall, immediately following mass.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Vincent

DePaul of Divine Mercy, 318 Division Street Bellevue, KY 41073; St. Elizabeth Hospice,

483 S. Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017 or Divine Mercy Parish, 318 Division Street,

Bellevue, KY 41073.
