Alvin Ronald “Ron” Crutcher, age 79, of Cynthiana passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at his home. He was born on August 4, 1946, in Danville, KY, to the late Alvin and Myrtle Henry Crutcher.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Sparks Crutcher.

He is survived by his son, Ronald Steven (Maribeth) Crutcher; daughter, Kimberle Ann (Darrell) Boone; brothers, Lynn (Jean) Crutcher, Dean Crutcher, Keith Crutcher; sister, Donna Jean Crutcher Ridings; grandchildren, Stevie Lee Hanson, Cody (Merideth) Wyatt, Gracie Wyatt, Adrianne (Scott) Deffren, Tyler (Madi) Cheek, JP (Jennifer) Boone, Amanda Boone; fifteen great-grandchildren; and best friends, Larry (Sylvia) Eccles and Vern (Erika) Yowell.

Alvin proudly served his country, retiring after 30 years in the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, riding his Harley, admiring his Corvette, reading, traveling throughout Europe, and, most of all, spending cherished time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY 41097. In honor of Alvin, the family asks that those attending the service wear casual, patriotic attire.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the America’s Vet Dogs, 371 East Jericho Turnpike, Smithtown, NY 11787.
