My memories and time with Dr. Amanda J. Gibbons in Blantyre, Republic of Malawi in between 2000 and 2003 are unforgetable, we spent alot of time together both at her home situated off Zomba Road near Limbe in Blantyre City, Republic of Malawi...We had a lot of fun, love and precious time. We used to walk, joggings and sometimes set the Blantyre Hash House Harriers run trials in and around a thick forest of Mpingwe Hills in Limbe near her home. Whenever I need help she was readily available. On 30th December 2000 the medical staff at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Blantyre, Malawi were on strike, no one was working on the very same day my wife Susan Kamwana was in maternity labour ward but with no one to attend - I called Amanda, despite she was on holiday but she immediately arrived at Queens Hospital and made plan with private doctors whereby Doctors carried out ceaseriun operation and my first child was born and she named him: Victory Amanda Gibbons. She insisted that the birth was victorious as we could loose both the baby and mother due to severe birth and maternal complications that needed argent medical doctors attention - hence the name Victory. She brought with her a bottle of cocacola for the patient - Susan the mother to Victory Amanda Gibbons. After the birth of the baby she has been with the Victory and the mother - Susan in the hospital ward throughout until discharged. She has been visiting and monitoring the baby Victory Amanda Gibbons at my house up until she left Malawi for USA. Amanda Gibbons was trully a hero, woman filled with love, passion and intergrity. I Love Amanda deeply from heart and will miss her throughout my life on earth. For many years I have been searching for her all over the USA and the world but no avail only today when I just thought of cross checking on this page and I'm really shocked to learn she died on 20th November 2025 - so recent that I still had an opportunity to meet her. I'm really sad and depressed and filled with sorrow, anguish and unbearable pain. Rest In Power my dear Loved one AMANDA JULIA GIBBONS. If anyone knows exact place she was buried please email to me on: lazarusfarramerre@gmail.com or call or whatsapp on: +27688036371 or send me a message via Facebook: Lazarus Farramerre (Peace Corps) I really wish to say something to her resting place.
