Obituary For Angie Lee Hilty
Angie Lee (Embry) Hilty, 67, of Walton, KY passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. For years she battled many chronic illnesses, and she is now resting at peace.
Angie grew up in Northern Kentucky as the oldest child of 4 born to Orval and Angelee Embry.
After studying at Northern Kentucky University, she worked at the Social Security Administration, and American Sign Company. A natural "Chatty Cathy" with a massive heart, Angie made friends effortlessly. It was at American Sign that she met her husband, Richard, to whom she was a devoted wife. She loved her girls as they came into her life.
Her family will deeply cherish memories of road trips to West Virginia, Louisville, Jacksonville, the Shaker Villages, and camping in Boonesboro with paddle boat tours and campfire s'mores.
Angie was a fierce fighter who faced her illnesses head-on for the sake of those she loved, even if there was an opportunity to give up. In her later years, she cherished living in a vibrant, four-generation household with her daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter. Four generations of women taking turns teaching and learning from one another.
While Angie hated the idea of needing to use the wheelchair, she didn’t let it hold her back. She proudly welcomed her great-granddaughter, Paisley, in the delivery room, instantly declaring, “That’s Grandma’s baby!” and the moment she held little Paisley in her arms she adored her. Angie spoke sweet encouraging words to Paisley each day. She often rode around the neighborhood with Paisley on her lap, pointing out the different flowers and teaching their names.
Angie leaves behind her daughter; Lisa Hilty, granddaughter; Jessica Hilty, great-granddaughter; Paisley Marie Hilty, siblings; Paul, Christine, Ragene, and Genine. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Angie will be laid to rest at the Independence Cemetery with Richard. Services pending.
