Obituary For Ann W. Wilke

Ann W. Wilke (nee Mollmann), age 86, of Westwood, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Bayley Place. She was born on December 15, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Herman and Elvera Mollmann (nee Beiting).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Heinz J Wilke, her daughter, Linda Wilke, her sons, Donald Wilke and Eric Wilke and her sister Veronica Mollmann.

Ann is the mother of Ray (Georgia) Wilke, Vince (Rita) Wilke and Joan Wilke. She is the grandmother of Vanessa Yawn, Liezl Prather, Lucas, Nathan and Zachary Wilke, Lauren Workman, Brennan Wilke, Lydia Renfrow and Logan Dilworth. Ann is the great grandmother of Lennox, Brooklyn, Isla, Layla, Lily, Lincoln, Nolen, Abel, Heidi and Wade. She is the sister of Mary (August) Kramer, Herman (Carol), Joe (Janet), Paul (Lori) and Larry (Carla) Mollmann.

Ann devoted her life to her faith, her family and caring for others. She was devout in her Catholic faith, which she embraced even deeper through the loss of her husband and three adult children. She was an active member of St. Martin’s parish for over 60 years as well as their many ministries. Her reverence for the Holy Eucharist, and the Holy Family inspired those around her with whom she actively shared this love.

Whether caring for her siblings as the big sister, as a loving wife to her husband Heinz throughout their 55 years of marriage, or raising her six children, Ann placed the needs of others ahead of her own. This was most visibly observed in her constant care for their daughter Linda.

Ann enjoyed lifelong relationships with good friends, entertaining in her home, cooking for holiday gatherings with family, passing along family history, and sharing stories of all sorts. She actively supported the interests of Heinz and her children, reveling in the accomplishments of her family and friends. Encouraging all to strive for higher things, while reminding them to be grateful for these blessings bestowed by a loving and faithful God.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 4 PM to 7 PM, at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals and Receptions, West Side, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211)
