Obituary For Barbara Morris Coppage

Barbara “Bobbie” Morris Coppage, age 87, of Lakeside Park, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at her residence. She was a beloved wife, mother, Mimi, and a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Newport, KY, where she served in their food pantry. Barbara had a way of making everyone she came into contact with feel special. Her house was always open to friends and family. She enjoyed playing Bridge, bowling (in her younger years), and following U.K. basketball. She had strong faith and impressed the importance of her beliefs to her children and grandchildren. Her husband (of 53 years), David Coppage, preceded her in death in 2013. Also preceding her in death were her parents and six siblings. She is survived by her children, Cara Coppage Rigby (Paul), Amy Coppage Dunn (Michael), David Joel Coppage (Kristin); grandchildren, Megan Rigby Hoffer (Jordan), PJ Rigby, Tate Rigby, Harrison Dunn (Keeghan), Lauren Dunn, Mason Dunn, Chase Coppage, Claire Coppage, Cole Coppage, and special friends, Max and Patti Montoya and family. Visitation for Barbara will be Friday, February 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with her funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 415 Park Ave., Newport, KY 41071. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY. Memorials may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ, 415 Park Ave., Newport, KY 41071.
