Betty J. Greenwood, 97 years of age, of Burlington, Kentucky, was welcomed into the loving embrace of her Savior, on Friday, September 15, 2023. She was born in 1926 to her late parents, Emmett Owen Portwood and Thurma Passons-Portwood. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Myles L. Greenwood; her daughter, Marlene Buckler and her brother, Emmett Portwood. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Long, Sharon May Ramler (Dave), Mary Crider (Roger), and Melissa Goetz (Chris); her son, Myles Greenwood (Susie); her sister, Shirley Ritchie; 14 Grandchildren, 34 Great-Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Betty will be remembered as a woman of great faith that loved her God, her family and her church. She enjoyed puzzles and playing Uno with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. Hwy 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Burlington Cemetery, Burlington, Kentucky.
