Obituary For Betty Joyce Leake Taylor
Betty Joyce Leake Taylor, 92, of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Betty devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was also a valued partner alongside her husband, Marion Taylor, in the family excavation business. Together they built not only a successful business but also a strong and loving family. Marion preceded her in death after sixty-three years of marriage.
Betty found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid reader who especially enjoyed mystery and romance novels, and she took great pride in her flower gardens, which reflected her nurturing spirit and appreciation for beauty. Above all, Betty treasured the time she spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren and the many generations that followed. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Becky Asher, Jeff Taylor, and Cindy Maust (Gladen); her grandchildren, Mitchell Taylor, Sam Maust, Nick Maust, Gladen Maust IV, Allen Asher, Aaron Asher, and Michelle Giles; fourteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory. Betty is also preceded in death by her son-in-law; Vogel Asher.
Family and friends may gather for visitation on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, Kentucky 41042. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00p.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Floral Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 720 E. Pete Rose Way, Suite 330, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202 or to the Boys Town Foundation by clicking here.
