Obituary For Betty Lee Kersker
Betty Lee Kersker, affectionately known as "Pete," passed away on March 13, 2026, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Born Betty Lee Wuermli on June 1, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family, passion for dance, and an enduring spirit of kindness and connection.
As a dance teacher, Miss Betty delighted in sharing the art of movement, inspiring countless students with her dedication and warm encouragement. Her career reflected not only her love for dance but also her commitment to nurturing creativity and confidence in those she taught.
Betty's pride and greatest joy were her family. She cherished raising her children and grandchildren, nurturing them with unwavering love and support. A devoted mother and grandmother, she found immense fulfillment in the successes and happiness of her loved ones.
Family remained at the heart of Betty’s life. She stayed closely connected through modern means, proficiently navigating Facebook, iPhone, and iPad to keep in touch with relatives near and far. Her affection for children and family was evident in the countless joyful interactions she had with younger generations.
She is survived by her sons Clifford Kersker (Ann Bartels) and Peter Kersker (Traci Miller), as well as her grandchildren Casey, Katie, Brian, Sean, Molly, Rebecca, Amanda, Josh, and Nathan. Her legacy also lives on through numerous great-grandchildren and a wide circle of other beloved family members and friends who will remember her fondly.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Leo Wuermli; her mother, Rose Wuermli (nee Loshinger); her husband, Bernard Kersker; her daughter, Vicky Mushaben; and her sister, June Eschmeyer.
Throughout her remarkable 97 years, Betty Lee Kersker exemplified grace, strength, and the profound importance of family bonds. Her memory will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her, as they carry forward the warmth and joy she so generously shared.
A private entombment will take place at the family's convenience. Betty will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Old Cemetery with Bernard.
