Obituary For Bonita J. Wilson

Bonita “Bonnie” J. Wilson (nee Kidd), age 87, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 12, 1938.

Bonnie lived a life grounded in strong faith, devotion to family, and quiet strength. A longtime member of the Florence Church of Christ, she expressed her faith through consistency, service, and love for others.

Family was always Bonnie’s priority. She showed her love most clearly through the meals she prepared for those she loved. A wonderful cook, she was known for her yeast pancakes, lasagna, yeast rolls, chocolate éclairs, and the chocolate and apple pies her husband Bob especially enjoyed. Cooking was how Bonnie cared for her family, a tradition she learned from her mother-in-law, Grandma Mattie Marie Wilson.

Bonnie worked full time throughout much of her life while also maintaining a beautifully kept home. She held positions with the IRS, Tate’s Building Supply, and Sears, where she worked at the jewelry counter. By trade, she was an accountant—organized, dependable, and diligent in all she did.

She met her husband, Bob Lee Wilson, in high school at Lloyd High School. Their love story began when Bob took the long way around her house one day, prompting Bonnie to ask him if he was ever going to ask her out. They went on to share a loving marriage and raise four children: Tim, Keith, Holly, and Melissa.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Datie Ella Kidd; her husband, Bob Lee Wilson; and her eight siblings.

She is survived by her children: Tim (Linda) Wilson, Keith (Judy) Wilson, Holly (Kevin) Morehead, and Melissa “Missy” (Jack) Lemming; her eight grandchildren; and her sixteen great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, Kentucky, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Bonnie will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Erlanger.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation or Kenton County Animal Shelter.
