Obituary For Bonnie Sue Shinn

Bonnie Sue Shinn, age 60, of Williamstown, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Bonnie was born on June 22, 1965, in Jacksonville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Helen and Robert Vieira, Sr. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent 20 years working with Butternut Bread, to provide for her family. Bonnie took great pride in her work and was known for her strong work ethic, perseverance, and commitment to those she loved most.

In her quiet moments, Bonnie enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word searches, activities that reflected her thoughtful and patient nature. Above all else, she was a loving and devoted mother whose life revolved around caring for her children and family. Her love, strength, and selflessness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Cannon, Frances Cobb, and Shirley Vieira.

She is survived by her sons, Derek (Kendra) Shinn, Harley Shinn, and Anthony Bryant; her daughters, Miranda (Andrew McKinney) Merrill, Kimberly King, and Tasha (William) Burke; her brothers, Robert (Ruth) Vieira, Jr. and James (Darlene) Vieira, Sr.; her sisters, Betty Burrow and Nola Vieira; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, Kentucky 41011.
