Obituary For Brad Haller

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brad Haller on June 8, 2026. Born on April 21, 1970, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Brad was the beloved son of Bill and Kathy (Weber) Haller. He grew up in Onalaska and graduated from Onalaska High School in 1988.

Brad attended UW-Madison and completed a degree in Chemistry. Following school, he worked as a forensic scientist for the State of Wisconsin. After moving to Northern Kentucky, Brad pursued his passion and love of fireworks. He volunteered his time setting up and programming firework displays at numerous festivals and events. Brad passed away doing what he loved.

Brad was a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts. It was on a trip to Europe in 2002, that Brad met the love of his life, his husband John. Brad and John enjoyed traveling to amusement parks throughout the United States and internationally.

Brad and John loved hosting game nights, craft beer shares, and opening their home to others. Brad was bigger than life and thrived on creating a welcoming and friendly place. He was great at connecting people as he shared his passions with them. Brad took great pride and joy in the happiness that he brought to others. He enjoyed playing video games, cards, board games, and singing karaoke with his friends.

Brad loved his cats Maka, Busch, and Strype. Maka was his first cat and Brad enjoyed spoiling her. After Maka won his heart, he rescued Busch and Strype from their front porch living outdoors and welcomed them into their home.

Brad is survived by his husband, John Fidyk; his father, Bill Haller; his sister, Lisa (Jim) Jorgenson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Brad was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Haller.

The family would like to recognize and thank the paramedics and UCMC medical staff for Brad’s care.

A memorial gathering will be held at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home from 1-4 PM on Sunday, June 14. The funeral home address is 5950 Kellogg Ave in Cincinnati. Brad would want you to “come as you are,” so dress in whatever feels comfortable!

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Campbell County Animal Services.
