Obituary For Brian Emory Kaufman

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Brian Emory Kaufman on April 21, 2026, at the age of 48.

Brian was born on February 1, 1978, in Atlanta, Georgia, a place he was always proud to call home. He was a devoted son to his mother, Diane Hoffman, stepfather, Bill Hoffman, and his father, Steve Kaufman. He was also a loving brother to Meghan Adams and Chris Kaufman.

Brian shared a deep and enduring bond with his soulmate of 20 years, Renee Williams, who was his best friend, and constant source of love and support. Above all else, Brian was a devoted and loving father to his daughters, McKayla and McKenzie, who alongside their mother were the center of his world. He took immense pride in being their dad and cherished every moment spent with them.

Brian was a dedicated and hardworking employee at Frito-Lay, where he truly took pride in his work. His commitment, reliability, and strong work ethic did not go unnoticed—he earned Employee of the Month every single month during his years there.

Those who knew Brian will remember his smile first. It was the kind of smile that greeted you before he even said a word — warm, genuine, and always there. He was the kind of person who never passed by without waving hello. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially a home-cooked meal and spending time visiting family in Florida. He had a passion for sports and was a devoted fan of the Miami Dolphins, while also cheering for the Cincinnati Bengals.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Peg and George Quinn, Donna and Marion Kaufman, and stepfather Bill Hoffman. He is survived by his mother, Diane Hoffman; his father, Steve Kaufman; his partner and soulmate, Renee Williams; his daughters, McKayla and McKenzie; his siblings, Meghan Adams and Chris Kaufman; and a wide circle of family and friends who will forever cherish his memory and carry his love with them. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will live on in all who knew him.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on Monday, April 27, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Don Catchen Family Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and remember a life so deeply loved.

In this time of sorrow, the family finds comfort in the overwhelming support, prayers, and memories shared by those whose lives Brian touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
