Obituary For Brien Hill

Brien Hill, age 74, of Florence, KY, passed away on May 26, 2026. He was born on April 11, 1952, in Owensboro, KY, to Mary Elizabeth (nee O'Brien) Hill and Robert Orton Hill.

Brien grew up in Owensboro and held a Sociology Degree from Brescia University, as well as Master’s Degrees in Social Work, Personnel Services, and Child Development and Family Living.

Brien held professional licenses as a Clinical Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker, and Alcohol and Drug Counselor, practicing in OH, KY, and IN. He was passionate about his work at Tangvald, Frenkel, & Associates, Healthpoint Family Care, and the Children's Psychiatric Hospital of NKY, and also worked at New Journey Counseling for several years. Brien enjoyed traveling to attend conferences and classes in these counseling fields. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Florence, KY.

Brien is survived by his former wives, with whom he maintained long-term relationships, Debbie Hill and Malgorzata Berezowska (Maggie), and his brother, Bruce Hill and family. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (8815 E Kemper Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249), where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12 p.m. A graveside service will follow on June 5, 2026, at 1 p.m. CT at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery (1860 W 9th St, Owensboro, KY 42303).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to have a Mass said for Brien.
