Obituary For Brock Logan Wheeler

Brock Wheeler, age 13, of Independence, KY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a week long fight in NSICU at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Brock was a bright, energetic young man, who brought joy to those around him. He loved fishing and spending time outdoors, as well as hanging out with his friends-especially his best friend Elijah. Brock had a deep love for sports, video games, and family game nights, where his laughter and competitive spirit filled the room. He cherished time with his siblings and enjoyed working with his hands, whether it was fixing cars or finding a way to repair anything in front of him.

He will be remembered most for his kind heart, his unique smile, curiosity, fearless attitude and the way he connected with people he loved.

Brock is survived by his mother, Shelley; his step-father, Wendal; his siblings, Michael, Jessica, Cara, Matt, Nathan, Erica, and Blake; his sisters-in-law, Jodi and Kadyn; his brother-in-law, Scot; his nieces, Makenly, Maddy, Quinn, Winry, and Elena; and his nephews, Oliver and Maddrix.

He is preceded in death by his father, Mike.

If you ask if he was loved, we would ask you, “Is the grass green?”

Visitation will be from 10 am – 12 noon with Funeral service beginning at 12 noon Wednesday, May 13, 2026 all at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Rd., Independence, KY 41051. Burial next to his dad will follow at Burlington Cemetery.

Swindler & Currin Funeral Home is serving the family.

A gofundme has been set up to help the Wheeler family medical expenses and funeral costs.
