Obituary For Carol Ann Schwab Brun

Carol Ann (nee Neale) Schwab Brun, 86, of Bellevue, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Bellevue, Kentucky. She was born on January 5, 1939, to Walter and Marie Neale in Dayton, Kentucky.

Carol was a graduate of Our Lady of Providence and lived a life devoted to her children and family. She was a loving mother and wife-quick-witted, with a dry sense of humor-and she always lived by the Golden Rule.

Like many women of her generation, Carol got things done. Quietly and without fanfare or recognition, she sacrificed, volunteered, worked hard, and played hard until her last day. She took care of her family, expecting nothing in return.

She loved camping, bowling, and crafting. Carol adored her grandkids and great-grandkids-and, sometimes, her kids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lee Schwab and second husband, Edward Achilles Brun, Jr., father, Walter Osborne Neale, mother, Marie Elizabeth Neale, sister, Judith Huff.

Carol is survived by her son, Jerry (Maureen) Schwab, daughters; Sulynn Schwab, Tina Smith (nee: Schwab), Diana Schwab, brother, Richard Neale, sister, Linda (Mike) Neale Neises, grandchildren; Jessica (Jeremy), Devan (Kenny), Kelsey (Brian), Nicholas, Paige (Kristopher), David (Cassandra), Aubrey, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Bellevue. Memorial Service will begin at 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Stephen Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Blue Grass Care Navigators, Attn: Philanthropy Office, 1733 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY 40504. Online condolences can be given at www.dmefuneral.com.
