Obituary For Carrie Marie Moeves

Carrie Marie Moeves, age 54, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at St Elizabeth Hospice Center.

She is survived by her children, Kyle Moeves (Elizabeth) and Aidan Moeves; cherished mother Elaine Moeves; siblings, Chris Moeves (Michelle), Toby Moeves (Kate), Adam Moeves and Molly Salyers (Ryan); beloved granddaughter, Lily and bonus granddaughters Brooklynn, Kiley, Ashtyn and Mackynlee; special nieces and nephews Corinne Morrison (Jeffrey), Bryce Moeves, Aubree & Andie Zapp, Dylan, Drew & Hayes Moeves and Kadence, Brennan & Mavis Salyers; beloved great-nieces and nephews James, Eli & Ruby Morrison; and many, many additional family members and dear friends.

Carrie was preceded in death by her father, Michael Moeves.

Carrie had a heart that was too big for this earthly world. She had a passion for anything crafty, especially if it was making something for family or friends. Carrie loved to bake and cook and will be greatly missed for her famous lasagna and chocolate eclair cake.

She had a love for the beach and would spend endless time searching for sea glass and shells when she was blessed enough to get to visit.

Carrie was a favorite aunt spoiling her nieces and nephews with special treats, McDonald’s happy meals or homemade gifts.

Carrie spent many years of her life caring for others as a medical assistant working for Summit Medical Group. Her kind heart and compassion for others made her a favorite of so many patients in the office.

However, her most cherished and precious work was in raising her boys. The love she had for Kyle and Aidan was something that could not be measured by this world. Carrie was so excited to learn she was to be a grandmother to a baby girl and her legacy will live on in Lily.

Those of us who knew Carrie and loved her will forever miss a light in our lives but we are so thankful that she knew Jesus and is now in His arms and reunited with her father, Mike.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at St. Barbara Church from 8:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:00 AM. Memorial donations are suggested to American Heart Association.
