Obituary For Cecilia E. Lux

Cecilia E. Lux, 71, of Covington, KY, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

She was a parishioner at Mother of God Church in Covington, was a member of the Secular Order of St. Frances and had retired from Ameripride as a factory worker. Cecilia enjoyed making quilts and she also knitted prayer blankets that she would donate to St. Elizabeth to give to patients.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfrid and Margaret Lux; brother, Thomas Lux; and sister, Mary Margaret Lux.

Cecilia is survived by her sister, Anita Bell of Aurora, CO; two nieces and two nephews; as well as several cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Angel and bird, Tommy.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:05 PM at Mother of God Church 119 W. 6th St., Covington, KY 41011. Burial will immediately follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 1 St. Johns Rd., Ft. Mitchell, KY 41011.

Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul, 2655 Crescent Springs Rd., Crescent Springs, KY 41017 or to have a mass said in Cecilia’s name.
