Obituary For Chae Hyon Hill

Chae Hyon Hill, of Union, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on August 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Seoul, Korea, Chae was the daughter of the late Hyong Sop Choe and Han Sun Choe. Her Korean heritage was a deeply cherished part of who she was, and she remained proud of her culture and the traditions that connected her to her family and her homeland throughout her life.

Chae shared 58 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, William Hill. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and lasting memories. Their marriage was a treasured partnership that remained a source of happiness and strength throughout the years.

Warm, kind, and genuinely generous, Chae had a special way of making those around her feel welcome and cared for. She valued friendship deeply and was blessed with many dear friends over the course of her life. She especially enjoyed spending time at the Florence Senior Center, where she formed meaningful friendships and shared many happy moments.

Chae embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. She enjoyed tending to her garden, traveling to new places, dancing, and relaxing with a good book. While these interests brought her great joy, nothing was more important to Chae than her family. Her happiest moments were those spent with the people she loved, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother whose warmth, encouragement, and generous spirit will remain forever in the hearts of her family.

Chae leaves behind her beloved husband of 58 years, William Hill; her daughters, Susan Jones and her husband, Allyn, and Lisa Hill; and her cherished grandchildren, Savanah Jones, Shelby Jones, Sadie Jones, and Hunter Hill. She is also survived by her brother and two sisters in Korea, along with many members of her extended family and a lifetime of dear friends.

Those who knew Chae will remember her gentle heart, her devotion to family, and the kindness she so freely shared with others. Although she will be deeply missed, the love she gave and the memories she created will continue to bring comfort to everyone whose life she touched.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Chae will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, Kentucky.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Foundation (Hospice), 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, Kentucky 41017.
