Obituary For Charles "Bill" Caldwell

Charles “Bill” Caldwell, 54, of Verona, Kentucky, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 24, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital. Bill was born on May 24, 1972, in Independence, Kentucky, to Charles Caldwell and Patricia Feldhaus.

Bill was a fun-loving man who enjoyed making people laugh. Whether you called it “stirring the pot” or, as it is known these days, “rage baiting,” Bill enjoyed getting a reaction out of people and loved nothing more than sharing a good laugh.

In his younger years, Bill enjoyed racing cars with his friends. He also loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. Above all, Bill treasured his family and the time they shared together. Some of his family’s favorite memories will always be of Bill in the kitchen, making his famous breakfast-for-dinner meals complete with pancakes, sausage, and eggs.

Bill will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 17 years, Angela Caldwell; his children, David Caldwell, Josh (Loni) Yost, Jonathan (Molly) Caldwell, Kayla Kephart (Zach), Kara Harden (Xander), Joseph Caldwell, and Phoenix Caldwell; his father, Charles Caldwell; his grandchildren, Dustin, Junior, Lilliana, Brody, Kayson, and Kayden; his siblings, George (Susan) Caldwell; his dog, Zeus; and many other family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Feldhaus, and his most special dog, Tucker.

A Celebration of Life will be held between 5 PM and 7 PM on Friday, August 28th at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051.
