Obituary For Charlotte "Faye" Foutch
Charlotte “Faye” Foutch passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Faye lived a life defined by love, kindness, and devotion to those around her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy came from caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home.
Faye was a faithful member of Oakland Methodist Church in Melbourne, Kentucky, where her strong and steady faith guided her life.
Faye was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim, with whom she shared over 70 years of marriage. Their love was a true and lasting partnership, and though they were apart for only 14 days, their bond remained unbroken. Their reunion brings comfort to those who loved them. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Carrie Warf; her stepmother, Sarah Warf (Brown); her brother, Charles Emerson “Buddy” Warf (Barbara); her sister, Cleatus Jean “Sissy” Price; and her niece, Carrie-Jo.
Her memory will be cherished by her devoted daughters, Susan Schadler (Larry), Sandy Grothaus (Denny), and Sharon Makowski (Bryan), all of whom were blessed by her guidance and steady presence. She also leaves behind her very close sister, Karen J. Quillen (Jack), and her sister-in-law, Jerri Foutch.
She found great joy in her role as a grandmother. She is lovingly remembered by her grandsons, Nathan Boden (Amber), Christopher Morris, Seth Boden (Sarah), and Corey Morris (Becca), and her beautiful great-grandchildren, Ellie, Lola Jo, and Tate, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness. She is also survived by her nephews: Chuck Warf (Julia), Roger Foutch (Jennifer), Randy Foutch (Theresa), Danny Foutch (Melissa), Joshua Quillen (Casie), and Jacob Quillen.
Faye will be remembered for her strong faith, kind heart, gentle strength, and warm sense of humor. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. Her family and her home were her life’s work. Her husband and daughters were greeted each morning with a hot breakfast and ended their days with a wonderful dinner. Through countless hours of volunteering for all her daughters’ school and extracurricular activities, she showed them she was always there—and instilled in them a lifelong example of love, dedication, and service.
Her love, guidance, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
A celebration of Faye’s life will be held on Monday, April 6, at Oakland Methodist Church, 7867 Stonehouse Road, Melbourne, Kentucky 41059. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Faye’s honor be made to, reflecting her deep faith and lifelong devotion to her church community: Oakland Methodist Church P.O. Box 368 Alexandria, KY 41001-0368
