Obituary For Cheri Lea Nix
Cheri Lea Nix, 51, of Florence, KY, passed away on May 20, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas. She was born on September 3, 1974.
Cheri was the beloved rock of her family, known for a smile that could light up any room. She was a constant source of support, a shoulder to lean on, and someone who was always there when called upon. Her love and kindness touched many lives.
She is survived by her devoted husband, James Nix Jr.; her four children, Kelsi Walling (Cory), Austin Walling (Meranda), James Nix III, and Amanda Nix. Cheri also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: BreLyn, Daemani, Kailyana Simpson, and Marlie Walling.
Cheri was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Lynn Barton (Dallas) her brother Todd Morton and her father, Garwood Combs. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 4:00 Pm to 6:00 Pm at Don Catchen II Allison & Rose Funeral Home, 5645 Taylor Mill Rd. Taylor Mill, Ky. 41015
