Obituary For Collette Paula Perozzi

Collette Paula Perozzi, née Sedivy, 54, of Union, KY, passed away on March 22, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her.

Born in Chicago on March 6, Collette’s life was a testament to her kind, generous, and loving spirit. She was a compassionate caregiver, a true friend, and a beacon of light to those in need. Collette had a rare gift for making others feel loved and supported, and her home and heart were always open. Her profound compassion extended to all living things; she could never say no to a stray animal or a friend in need. Her kindness and willingness to help will be her enduring legacy.

Collette found immense joy in running, traveling, and immersing herself in the beauty of nature. Her adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were infectious, and she inspired those around her to find the beauty in the world.

She was the beloved mom of Kate Sherk, Abby Perozzi, and Ryan Perozzi; cherished partner of Mike Schafer; loved daughter of Zdena Sedivy, and loving sister to Sandy Taylor and Peter Sedivy.

Collette was preceded in death by her beloved father, Peter Sedivy Sr.

Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the beautiful life Collette lived on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY, 41042 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A memorial service will begin shortly after 3:00 PM.
